The old and the new work together for Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited (ABNL). While its largest business line is life insurance, it is a top producer of rayon yarn and one of the largest branded apparel companies in India. In the chemicals industry, it is a leading producer of carbon black and among the biggest fertilizer makers. Financial offerings include insurance, asset management, and investment services. ABNL is also engaged in telecom and other IT services. Madura Garments is its clothing division, while Idea Cellular spearheads its wireless communications unit. Part of conglomerate Aditya Birla, ABNL is merging with Grasim Industries, after which its financial operations will be spun off.
